Sugar Cravings cont'd

You may know that what you are doing to your body is not right
but this may not be enough motivation for you to break the habit.
Sugar cravings and simple food cravings can be linked to most of life's
pleasures like spending time with friends and family or simply going out
for dinner with family and friends.

These things are pleasurable and when your friends are not around you
continue this feeling and start to eat, mostly sweet things.
Remember you are seeking fulfillment and that's why you crave sugar.
When you don't feel well (like having a yeast infection) you look to sugar
for comfort and it is an addiction. Just like a cigarette smoker.

We are now going to do a little test... get a piece of paper.

1. Write down a situation where you would normally struggle with
bingeing and eating sugary food or simple foods.
Maybe it's when your by yourself or maybe its when your stressed out.

2. Write down the good feelings you have when you eat sugar and binge.

3. Now, write down how you feel 30 min's later.

4. Now write down how you would like to feel "without" having eaten that sugary treat or simple food (Cakes, sweets etc..)

If your like me when I did this I wrote down that I binged mostly
when I was upset, sad, or missed my sister who lives 2 hours away.
I felt great when I ate chocolate and cakes but felt terrible and guilty
30 min's later.

I wanted to feel happy and fulfilled without having to munch out
on some chips or chocolate.
I soon realised that I needed to stop replacing sugar to deal
with my emotions and start being happy within myself.
My husband was the same. He ate mostly when he was stressed.

In the end, I overcome my sugar cravings and set up a webcam and
internet
chat over skype.com for free to my sister and I meditate and
exercise. This helped with my mood swings (caused by sugar) and I found
that by being happy and content within myself I was eventually able to control
my sugar cravings. My yeast infection has not returned.

Remember that your subconscious mind gets you what you focus on.
If you focus on being sad and depressed, Angry or stressed then
that is what you will get in your life.
Learn to relax and meditate on the good feelings in your life.
Focus on what you want, not what you don't want.
Imagine your ideal life, spend time out for YOU.

You will need to replace the sugar foods with healthy alternatives and
eventually you will learn to associate this with good feelings and health.
You will associate it with the benefits of eating right like being around longer
in life for your family and the ones you love.
The hardest part is at the start, but once you start the journey is well worth it.
The end result is a healthier, happier and fulfilled you.
